When Polynucleotide’s are injected into the skin, they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which help to improve the texture and elasticity of the skin. Polynucleotides also enhance the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture, resulting in a more hydrated and youthful appearance.

Not only do polynucleotides rejuvenate your skin, they also enables natural restoration of optimal skin conditions and enhances other aesthetic treatments such as; hyaluronic acid treatment, peeling, laser, skin surgery and needling. Infiltration with polynucleotides restores elasticity, and hydration to all types of skin, regardless of age.

The whole procedure should only take around 45 minutes at our Suffolk clinic, this includes plenty of time for topical anaesthetic to be applied to reduce any discomfort. You’ll know what to expect before the treatment is administered as you’ll have had a face-to-face consultation with us beforehand. We will have discussed your suitability, exactly how an polynucleotide procedure works, and what it involves.

For optimum results, we recommend having 3 treatments to the area of concern, spaced 2-3 weekly.

To be on the safe side, you can give yourself 24 hours afterwards to recover. However, realistically, apart from a little bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site, we don’t expect you to have any side effects, or need any downtime.

You should notice the first visible effects of your anti wrinkle injections approximately 2-3 days after the treatment, with maximum results in place 12-14 days later. Your new look should last for 3-4 months before a top-up treatment is necessary to maintain your new look.

When the Botox is administered we use very small needles to ensure there is minimal discomfort during the treatment. The anti-wrinkle treatment will then be administered into the targeted muscles, you’ll have discussed with the practitioner beforehand.

Having been approved by the FDA for cosmetic procedures many years ago, anti wrinkle injections are considered to be a very low risk treatment. Botox has a very good safety record. Eyebrow droop is one of the more serious potential side effects, but it’s incredibly rare.

You’ll be given aftercare tips on the day to reduce swelling and bruising. Additionally you’ll be advised to avoid extreme heat and rigorous exercise for up to 48 hours afterwards. If you need to book a follow-up appointment after 2 weeks, we’ll let you know.
